Federation proposing the series to the FIA

La Federation Internationale de L’automobile (FIA) delegate the national authority to chosen organization within concerned countries. Thus the national organizations are working in respect to the regulations of the FIA and ensure that the athletic events unfold in accordance with the right in force. The elaboration of the national regulations and their application, organizing athletic demonstrations and granting necessary licenses to different entities to practices motor sports belong therefore to this organization

In regard to the athletic authority entrusted, the CSN has a principal task to ensure that the motor sport and Karting in Switzerland unfold itself in accordance with the rules and international Athletic Code of the world association. This mandate authorizes nevertheless the adaptation of certain prescriptions in order to fulfill the national organization requirements.

The CSN, which consists of 15 members, principally is a control and authorization affiliate. Thus, its members are present as a Commissioner Sportsmen at the time of the demonstrations. CNS proceeds with the probation of the results, the discussion of events or special offence, and the debate of new suggestions, etc. The planning works are done within the secretariat and various Committees (instruction, karting, championships, security, technical, etc.) each lead by a member of the CSN. This is where the suggestions for regulation or prescriptions are discussed, dates of competitions are fixed and all kind of studies that assure an accurate progression of athletic competitions
